We’ve only just said goodbye to Christmas but I’m here to give you a quick healthy review on the newest protein bars and snacks Vlad and I have recently tried. I hope you all had a very lovely Christmas and enjoyed not only eating that turkey and pigs in blankets but also appreciated the time spent with your loved ones. However, it is now time to move away from the Christmas leftovers and stuffing. The sooner the better, as they say. Also, this would be the perfect time to start thinking about getting back on the fitness bandwagon and shifting the extra calories! Thus, I’ve prepared a quick review post on some of my favourite new protein bars – FitSpo, FitJoy and King Whey protein snack! Enjoy!

FitSpo Protein Bars Review

FitSpo Protein Bars

FitSpo Protein Bars are great for an afternoon treat. Unfortunately, they are a Bulgarian brand and can only be ordered through a Bulgarian website, like this one. FitSpo are not only offering protein bars, but also cookies and flapjacks. With so many flavours to choose from, you’ll be sure to taste something to your liking. Flavours include Crunchy Lemon Tart, Chocolate Orange, Chocolate Brownie, Hazelnut, Strawberry and many more. I’ve tried the Coconut, Hazelnut and Chocolate Brownie. The last one is my personal favourite! It tastes nothing like a protein bar but more like an indulgent sugary snack, such as Snickers.

On the bright side, it won’t hurt your waistline like a Snickers! Each protein bar has 240kcal of which 24g carbs, 11g fat and 20g protein! There are only 2 grams of sugar per bar, so you’ll stay far from your recommended daily sugar intake.

FitJoy Protein Bars Review

FitJoy Protein Bars

FitJoy Protein Bars are another new entry in my world of protein snacks. I’m not sure how to describe the texture but they are quite gooey and chewy. You might as well want to set aside 20 minutes from your time to enjoy it. Personally, I think this is a great protein snack for that time when you want to just sit and enjoy your favourite movie. Instead of filling your super-sized bowl with greasy, salty popcorn, you can grab a FitJoy protein bar! At the moment, the brand is offering 4 main flavours – Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cookie Dough Brownie, Cookies & Cream and Grandma’s Lemon Square! However, if you’re lucky, you can find some of the other flavours including this French Vanilla that Vlad and I got!

Each protein bar is gluten-free and super low in sugar. Also, it is made without artificial flavours, colours, or sweeteners, so you can feel confident about what you’re eating. With 210kcal per bar, there are 27g carbs, 7g fat and 20g protein. Only 5 grams of sugar but 16 grams of fibre!

King Whey Protein Bars Review

King Whey Protein Bars

King Whey Protein Bars are signature series protein bars from Ronnie Coleman. For those of you who don’t know, Mr Coleman is a retired professional bodybuilder. I think that should be enough information to convince you to trust him and try one of his protein bars. Don’t you agree? At the moment there are 4 flavours – Birthday Cake, Peanut Butter Cup, Red Velvet Cake and Triple Chocolate Brownie! Without having a second look at the picture, guess which one Vlad and I chose? The Chocolate Brownie of course! Like there were any other options J. Like FitJoy, King Whey are also a bit gooey and packed with flavour. You will be tasting that chocolate, trust me.

Each protein bar has 240kcal21g carbs, 10g fat and 20g protein. Sadly, this protein snack will only provide you with 1 gram of your daily dietary fibre. However, it is worth it!
